Simple Cranberry Sauce

1 c. water
1 c. sugar
12 oz. bag of whole cranberries
1/2 tsp. orange zest

Heat sugar and water in saucepan until sugar dissolves. Add cranberries and simmer, stirring occasionally, until cranberries pop 10-12 minutes. Stir in zest and cool. Cover and refrigerate.
